چکیده
The advanced baseline imager (ABI) on board geostationary operational environmental satellite-16 (GOES-16) provides high quality reflective solar band (RSB) and thermal emission (TEB) image data. Intensive field campaigns for postlaunch validation of the ABI Level-1B spectral radiance observations were carried out during March to May 2017 ensure Système International traceability ABI. Radiometric calibrations RSBs TEBs evaluated by comparison with measurements airborne visible infrared imaging spectrometer-next generation (AVIRIS-NG) scanning high-resolution interferometer sounder (S-HIS) high-altitude aircraft ER2, respectively. between RSB mesoscale (MESO) data AVIRIS-NG showed that mean biases are within 2% uncertainty <2.5 % CH01, CH03, CH05, CH06. brightness temperature differences GOES-16 S-HIS shown be 0.45 K <0.35 at 300 scene equivalent CH08 CH10 CH13 CH15. uses large focal plane arrays detector number varying from hundreds more than a thousand per channel, which makes evaluation uniformity challenge. Reanalysis north-south scan campaign lunar observation was performed CH01 CH03 two versions calibration coefficients. Significant improvements in updated algorithm verified.

Imager-to-radiometer in-flight cross calibration: RSP radiometric comparison with airborne and satellite sensors
This work develops a method to compare the radiometric calibration between a radiometer and imagers hosted on aircraft and satellites. The radiometer is the airborne Research Scanning Polarimeter (RSP), which takes multi-angle, photo-polarimetric measurements in several spectral channels. The RSP measurements used in this work were coincident with measurements made by the Airborne Visible/Infra...

A radiometric and geometric processing system has been developed as part of the Advanced Land Image(r) Assessment System (ALIAS). A derivative of the ALIAS processing system has also been implemented operationally at EROS to generate Advanced Land Imager (ALI) Level 1 radiometrically and geometrically corrected data products. This system replaces the “calibration pipeline” previously used to ge...
متن کاملLandsat-8 Operational Land Imager Radiometric Calibration and Stability
The Landsat-8 Operational Land Imager (OLI) was radiometrically calibrated prior to launch in terms of spectral radiance, using an integrating sphere source traceable to National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) standards of spectral irradiance. It was calibrated on-orbit in terms of reflectance using diffusers characterized prior to launch using NIST traceable standards. The radian...
متن کاملSpectral and Radiometric calibration of the Advanced Land Imager
Calibration of spectral and radiometric measurements of the Advanced Land Imager (ALI) is a critical element of its land-sensing mission. Without initial ground-based and subsequent on-orbit standardization, the data cannot be reliably used for the intricate analysis of atmospheric conditions and complex surface regions. Daily, weekly, and monthly recertification steps are taken to recalibrate ...
